Who is Lou Maresca?
This man has been riding waves from the northern east coast, down through Florida to Costa Rica since before surfing became a trend. He is a true surfer with water in his blood. In 2005-2006 he added another win to his already illustrious career by bringing home the Costa Rican National Masters Champion title. Owner of the oldest surf school on the east coast Central Florida Surf School , Lou now runs Robert August’s surf school in Tamarindo Costa Rica where he is also the head of the Tamarindo Surfrider Foundation . If anyone’s been around the block and knows his waters, it’s Lou!
Many surfers don’t do much to facilitate change. It is a shame really since we all enjoy the use of the ocean. I think a lot of them feel they cannot make a difference or change......but that is FALSE!
